EATON VANCE FORMER CHAIRMAN AND CEO JAMES B. HAWKES JOINS BOARD OF
ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT ADVISORY FIRM CENTRAL PARK GROUP


NEW YORK, New York - May 19, 2008 -- Central Park Group, LLC, announced today that James B. Hawkes, the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eaton Vance Corp. (NYSE: EV), has joined the Firm's board. Central Park Group, an independent investment advisory firm, delivers private client and smaller institutional investors access to top hedge fund, private equity, real estate and fund-of-funds talent and provides investors with the solutions and benefits associated with alternative investment strategies.

Mr. Hawkes joins Kenneth C. Whitney, Senior Managing Director, The Blackstone Group, Steven Guterman, Senior Managing Director, Head of Business Development, AIG Investments and Vice President, American International Group, Inc., Greg Brousseau Co-Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Central Park Group, LLC and Mitchell Tanzman Co-Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Central Park Group, LLC on the board.

Mr. Hawkes joined Eaton Vance in 1970 as an equity research analyst, was appointed Director of Research in 1979 and Chief Investment Officer in 1985. He was named President and CEO in 1996 and Chairman of the Board in 1997. During Mr. Hawkes' eleven year tenure as CEO, Eaton Vance's assets under management grew nearly tenfold (from $17 billion to $160 billion) and its stock had a total return of 1,989%, or 31.8% per annum. Mr. Hawkes retired in November of 2007 and is currently Chairman Emeritus. Mr. Hawkes earned a BS in aerospace engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
